This summer, Grammy nominees, Killswitch Engage and up-n-coming metal heroes Trivium will be touring as part of the 2005 Ozzfest that will also feature Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Black Label Society, Rob Zombie and Mastodon among others. Killswitch Engage, returning to the 2nd stage after a two-year hiatus from the festival, will be playing direct support to Rob Zombie, a noteworthy nod from the Ozzfest organization to the band’s ever increasing profile. Trivium, playing on their first Ozzfest tour, will also be playing the 2nd stage, rotating time slots with its ten other bands. Currently Trivium is touring the country with the Road Rage tour that features labelmates Still Remains, The Agony Scene and 3 Inches of Blood. Killswitch Engage is currently on the Taste of Chaos Tour with The Used, My Chemical Romance and others.
New England's Killswitch Engage are touring in support of their sophomore Roadrunner Records release, The End of Heartache. The critically acclaimed album has gone on to sell over 300,000 albums since it’s May release. The album was recently re-released on March 1st as a special two-disc version with six new/live tracks. Building a diehard fan base through incessant touring, Killswitch Engage’s success continues to grow rapidly in scope largely due to the success of their latest radio singles “The End of Heartache” and “Rose of Sharyn.” In addition ”The End of Heartache” was the featured single on the soundtrack to the film, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, which debuted at #1 in theaters late Summer '04.
On March 15th, Trivium released their Roadrunner debut, Ascendancy. According to the band's publicist: "Ascendancy is an album as technical as quantum physics, as ferocious as a pit-bull and as catchy as a spider-web drenched in syrup." Led by the first single “Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr," the album soared to #1 on the Metal Radio Charts where it has stayed for over five weeks.In addition, the video for the single was just added to Fuse and MTV2.

This is the first DVD from Sacriversum featuring songs from the band's last two albums, plus a couple of old hits. Sacriversum was founded in spring 1992 by Herszt (guitars), Slepy (drums) and Remo (bass, voc), known from Dead Evil or Pandemonium. Their first 4-piece demo tape "Dreams of Destiny" was recorded the same year and soon released by Carnage Rec. First interviews and gigs were followed by gradual changes in the band's style and extending the line-up. Soon Krzysiek "Baran" Baranowicz (keyboards) joined the band and Sacriversum started to work on their first full-length material; they also played some gigs.
Their debut "The Shadow of the Golden Fire" was released by Baron Rec. in November '94. Soon after that Sacriversum played two gigs supporting Tiamat and Sentenced, and has been touring with the most notorious of metal bands ever since.

This is Desdemona's first DVD release. The band was founded in 1996 by a group of friends, united with one aim - to create honest and ambitious music. After numerous personal changes and other problems, there finally emerged quite a stable line-up. At that time Desdemona played many marvelous gigs, during which the band was very warmly welcomed. More or less at the same time the band started to work on their debut material. They recorded a "home" demo which they sent out to a few labels. Morbid Noizz took interest in the band. The band got a huge kick of energy, knowing that soon their album would be out. They entered Altheya studio, where they recorded "Stagnacja" album. Vocalist Joanna Radlowska then quit.
Then they remembered about an old friend, Agata Pawlowicz. Though she lived quite away from the rest of the band, already after the first rehearsal they knew she was the perfect match. She proved her worth in Bolkow in 2001, where the enthusiastic reception considerably exceeded the band's expectations. Next period started with signing a deal with Metal Mind Productions. They soon entered the studio again and recorded material for "_s.u.p.e.r.N.O.V.A." (with Bartek Kuzniak in his incredible Studio 333). Then, In 2004 Desdemona was joined by Robert Plaskowski, known from the project Robi. They gigged a lot, e.g. supporting Type O Negative and Katatonia, they also took part in the third edition of Dark Stars Festival Tour. Also in 2004 their newest album "Version 3.0" was released. The reception both among fans and the music media was enthusiastic. Beginning of 2005 brought Polish gigs with Tiamat and the recording of their first official DVD. They are currently working on the material for their next full-length.

This concert is testament that DEVO was much more than an MTV band, they were a brilliant live act. This DVD includes a full length concert from 1980 supporting their breakthrough album Freedom of Choice. This is DEVO at their very peak.
Although hard to fathom nowadays, there was a time when there was no MTV. In fact, rock music visuals on TV were usually delegated strictly to the weekend, when you had to burn the midnight oil to catch Saturday Night Live, Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, the Midnight Special, or Friday's. And mostly, it was either straight-ahead live performance footage, or else blah lip-synched stuff, with the musicians playing to an empty arena on the afternoon of a show. This all changed with DEVO.
Even if you missed catching DEVO live and 'in the flesh,' you had a decent chance to see them on the tube, as they were one of the few acts to appear on all of the aforementioned programs. The only problem was that bands were only given a handful of songs to perform on these shows. That's where Live 1980 comes in handy. It's becoming rare nowadays for full-length shows to have survived from this era, but that's what this DVD is all about - a full-length live set, just as Whip It was beginning to make DEVO a household word. Reno, NV Smog Veil Records announces an all new Thor album titled, Thor
Against The World, to hit the streets July 12, 2005. Radio promotions for
the new album are being handled by the record label in-house. Smog Veil is
distributed by Revolver, Super D, Morphius, Scratch (Canada), Southern, CTD,
Choke, Get Hip, Cargo, Subterranean, FAB (Canada) and World Chaos
Productions (Japan). RocknRetail will handle marketing.
Thor Against The World was recorded in April and May of 2004 at two Los
Angeles recording facilities: TON Studios (Dirty Walt/Fishbone, Dee Dee
Ramone, Johnette Napolitano/Concrete Blonde) and ToneDuff Studios. The
album was produced and co-written by the production team Messiaz (Bruce
Duff, Frank Meyer). Duff and Meyer have worked with acts like Cheetah
Chrome (Rocket From The Tombs, Dead Boys), Wayne Kramer (MC5), Sylvain
Sylvain (New York Dolls), Eddie Spaghetti (Supersuckers) and more. Jon Mikl
Thor talks about the making of what he calls "one of the records I am most
proud of." "Frank [Meyer] and I started talking about doing an album 5 years
ago. We started writing the tunes across the miles sending tapes and CDR's
back and forth from California to the Great Northwest. I put my full trust
in the Messiaz production when I journeyed to Los Angeles to record."
"Frank Mauceri the boss of Smog Veil Records is a great visionary." Thor
explains about his choice of record label for the release. "I really like
his fast growing multi-media company. The industry is rapidly changing and
Smog Veil is getting involved with downloading, ring tones, DVD's and
movies. They truly see where the future of technology is headed and have
their finger on the pulse. I'm honored to be part of the Smog Veil Family."
Notoriously well-loved by fellow musicians -- many have spoken about Thor¹s
influence and impact on music. Henry Rollins enthuses "No one rocks like
the mighty Thor. He's been going strong for decades. Let the blood run red,
motherfuckers!" And Willie Adler of Lamb of God excitedly announces "Thor
-- T.itans, H.ellions, O.ver-the-top, R.ambunctious!" Ahmet Zappa quite
plainly states "I believe in Thor and so should you."
Thor¹s discography spans over 25 years and over 20 full-length albums. This
body of work recently earned him a place on the Classic Rock Magazine list
of Top 100 Greatest Front Men of All Time (alongside winner Bon Scott and
other nominees like Robert Plant, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Steven
Tyler, Ozzy Osbourne). Body building titles Thor has held include Mr. North
America, Mr. Canada and Mr. Teenage USA. Thor is known for his ability and
willingness to perform amazing feats of strength and endurance during his
shows. He has had a pile of bricks stacked on his chest and then broken
with a pneumatic drill. Using his own lungs, he has blown up rubber water
bottles until they burst. He has bent steel bars with his teeth, performed
motorcycle stunts on stage and mock-slain gladiators while flames and
thunderbolts explode around him. Thor is still an immensely powerful man and
is in incredible shape and continues to be a dedicated performer. During
Thor¹s long career he has shared the stage with other rock and entertainment
luminaries including Metallica, Arnold Schwarzeneger, Motorhead, The
Dictators, D.O.A., John Candy, Wasp, Donald Sutherland, Manowar and
Liberace, to name but a few.
Thor¹s career has always involved film productions and television
appearances. One of his earliest T.V. appearances was on the
internationally televised Merv Griffin Show (a clip of which is contained on
the forthcoming retrospective DVD). From the Roger Corman film 'Recruits,'
to rock lo-fi spoofs like 'Fubar' to horror pics like 'Intercessor' and
'Rock n¹ Roll Nightmare,' Thor has never ceased to be involved in
performance, acting, and soundtrack work. He both performed in and
contributed soundtrack to the upcoming USA Network production titled 'Murder
in the Presidio,' which aired in early May. The film premiered at the
Knitting Factory in Hollywood on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 to much critical
acclaim and fanfare. The film stars Lou Diamond Phillips, Jason Priestly,
Victoria Pratt, Leslie Easterbrook, Dan Roebuck and Thor. It was directed
by long time Thor friend and collaborator, John Fasano (Zombie Nightmare,
The Edge of Hell All Hallow¹s Eve). As part of the promotions surrounding
the premiere (which also served as an advance listening party for the new
album) VH1¹s new reality series, 'Home James¹s,' production team attended
and collected additional footage. More information on this program
involving a Thor appearance will be announced soon.
The current Thor album line-up features Jon Mikl Thor on vocals and Sweet
Justice as backing band (Frank Meyer on vocals and lead guitar; Bruce Duff
on bass, guitar and keyboards; Chris Markwood on drums and percussion) and
Brian Kehew (Air, Mother Superior, Moog Cookbook) on keyboards. Thor tour
line-up will vary according to region. The western U.S. dates will feature

Los Angeles, CA The Black Halos' new full-length album, Alive Without
Control, will be released on Liquor and Poker Music on June 28, 2005. The
long-awaited album will be supported with national tour dates to be
announced shortly. Radio promotion and marketing are being handled
in-house. The label is distributed through Caroline.
Alive Without Control was produced by Jack Endino, whose credits include
both of the previous Halos' albums and of course Nirvana's Bleach as wells
as various EP's and albums for Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Tad, Screaming Trees,
Blue Cheer, Dwarves, L7, Supersuckers, Zeke, Nebula, Zen Guerrilla and many
other notable artists and bands. "Jack Endino has become like the 6th Halo
and has truly captured our twisted vision so we can unleash it on an
unsuspecting world" enthuses frontman Billy Hopeless about the production.
The album was recorded at Soundhouse Studios and Hanzsek Studios in Seattle,
WA in February of this year.
"Liquor and Poker Music is psyched to have the Black Halos on the label"
Brandon 'The Rawker¹ Stratton, Liquor and Poker Music A & R man states. "I
have been a fan for a long time and Alive Without Control proves that the
band is back with a vengeance." Indeed, the album unfolds as an aggressive
rock n¹ roll record dappled in shades of 70s punk snottiness and shameless
belligerence. In other words, it¹s Black Halos with no holds barred. The
influences they cite just pour fuel on the flames of their already brightly
burning fire: Hanoi Rocks, Johnny Thunders, New York Dolls, The Ramones,
Dead Boys, Misfits, Dogs D'amour, etc. "I can honestly say." Billy Hopeless
reflects, "that I feel like we¹ve gotten better with each album and this one
is more brutally honest, darker and in your face than ever. It¹s a sonic
attack full of all the things other bands are afraid to say."
The Black Halos are seasoned road dogs. Their touring schedule behind their
first two releases, self-titled debut on Die Young Stay Pretty (1999) and
Violent Years on Sub Pop (2001), was virtually non-stop. Plans for national
tour dates to promote Alive Without Control are in the advanced stages and
dates will be announced soon. The band has performed with die-hards like
label mates The Hellacopters, Nebula and Backyard Babies, as well as stints
on the Warped Tour and dates with AFI, All, Sum 41, Danzig, The Donnas,
Andrew WK, The Damned, The Offspring, River City Rebels, Zeke, Supersuckers,
Tool, Sevendust, Murder City Devils, etc.

Music DVD Specialist Joins Forces with British Concert Video Producer/Label for US distribution deal
Music Video Distributors, a leading Music DVD label and distributor, will partner with Secret Films to bring an extensive and timeless music-on-film catalog to consumers via DVD. Each DVD will feature live performance footage of well established artists performing their greatest hits.
MVD plans to introduce this partnership to consumers with the release of The Human League - Live at the Dome. This live DVD - filmed at The Dome, Brighton UK on 19th December 2003 - marks the climax of the Human League's hugely successful '03 tour. It is proof that the Human League will never lose profile after branding the synth-pop sound of the 80s. Other Secret Films releases slated for June include performances from The Beat (aka The English Beat), Bad Manners, and The Selecter.
Secret Films is the brainchild of Frank Lea and Colin Newman, who is an avid collector of records and is no stranger to the music industry. Newman acquired the famous Trojan Records in the mid-80s and immediately put an extensive re-issue program into motion. Under his ownership, Trojan focused on its vast back catalog and thus became world leaders in vintage Jamaican music. Trojan's success was noted by Sanctuary Records, who purchased the historic label in 2001. Newman invested funds from this sale into Secret Records & Films, which primarily focuses on producing film of well established artists performing their greatest hits. Many of these artists fall under the genres of British Ska, Punk Rock, and Reggae- which makes MVD a perfect fit. To date, Secret Films has recorded and filmed over 120 British Chart hits, all in 5.1 surround sound.

Having just returned from two weeks in the Republic of Korea performing concerts for US armed forces personnel, QUIET RIOT is preparing for their participation in this year's "Rock Never Stops" tour along with Cinderella, Ratt and Firehouse.
"QUIET RIOT has been very busy this year with international dates that have included concerts in Spain, Guatemala, Panama, Columbia, Canada and Korea, as well as some US dates, and now we are all looking forward to spending the summer with friends and fans here in America" remarked vocalist Kevin DuBrow.

Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Bon Jovi and others will perform throughout the weekend at the hotel.
The concerts commence with Coldplay’s Friday night performance at The Joint. The next night, Bon Jovi will perform at an unusually intimate outdoor venue, aptly named the “Anniversary Amphitheater Under The Stars.” Later that same evening, Nine Inch Nails will be playing a midnight show at The Joint. Staged to the hotel’s usual perfection, there will be no expense spared for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This is the last show the Murder City Devils ever played. Professionally filmed and recorded live at the Showbox in Seattle on Halloween 2001, this DVD features the not-so typical primal energy and raw Rock N Roll style that MCD introduced to the underground during their short but hugely influential career.
On Halloween night, 2001, the Murder City Devils returned to play a show in their hometown after another long tour. Things were a bit different this time as the great break-up loomed in the not so distant future. This final farewell would be filmed to document all the blood, sweat, and beer that the Devils had spilled.
This performance is as real and passionate as it gets and is complete with Spencer Moody's drunken song introductions, instrumental terrors, and microphone mischief. A highlight of the set occurs when Andrea Zollo (Pretty Girls Make Graves) performs with Moody on Boom Swagger. When Moody and the band begin 18 Wheels the crowd becomes crazed. Most of the set features new, unreleased material, as well as the last song Grace That Saves. After four minutes, the song is dissolved piece by piece with each band member walking off the stage. Moody continues to repeat the lines over and over again against a backdrop of feedback. "This is a love letter, I got your note, I'm on my way." With a final thank you and a drop of the microphone, Moody and the Murder City Devils put an end to an era.

Always a fantastic live band, Government Issue grind out the songs in workman-like fashion as singer John Stabb reigns over the enthusiastic crowd, injecting humor and chaos into the mix. This is the first ever DVD to feature the one the major bands of the Industrial Music scene, Germany's Einstürzende Neubauten. It features the full-length film that was made by the band to showcase the album. Basically a full-blown promo for each song on the audio release, "1/2 Mensch" is a stunning work of visual art, bought to DVD for the first time, and will be very popular amongst the band's legions of fans.
Along with Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten (meaning "collapsing new buildings") helped pioneer industrial music with an avant-garde mix of white-noise guitar drones, vocals verging on the unlistenable at times, and a clanging, rhythmic din produced by a percussion section consisting of construction materials, hand and power tools, and various metal objects.
The band recorded several well-received albums through the 1980's and were renowned for their visually magnificent live performances and creative video work. The "Halber (or ½) Mensch" album was released in 1986, and was both critically acclaimed and amongst their most commercially popular releases, going to number two in the Independent Chart.

Geffen Records releases FAMILY GUY LIVE IN LAS VEGAS, a new CD of classic and original songs plus DVD bonus content from the hit animated series. The package, which features the Griffin family along with guest stars like Jason Alexander, Patti LuPone, Haylie Duff and Adam West, arrives in stores April 26, while the perennially popular TV show returns to FOX with brand new episodes on Sunday, May 1st (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT).
"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, together with composer Walter Murphy, co-produced the CD as well as co-wrote several tracks. All of the actors from the show appear on the album, including MacFarlane (Peter, Brian, Stewie, Quagmire and Tom Tucker), Alex Borstein (Lois), Mila Kunis (Meg), and Seth Green (Chris). As a bonus, also included is DVD content featuring a music video of "Stewie's Sexy Party," plus, a behind the scenes look at the making of the album and the video, as well as a trailer for the upcoming season of "Family Guy" and MacFarlane's new animated series "American Dad."

NATIONAL TOUR WITH PIGFACE KICKS OFF 4/14

Los Angeles, CA --Nocturne¹s new full-length album, Guide to Extinction,
will be released on April 19, 2005. The band hits the road for the
month-long Free For All Tour, with Pigface, Sheep On Drugs, Voodou and The
Enigma (Human Marvels, Jim Rose Side Show Circus) on April 14, in Palatine,
Illinois. The tour ends on May 22, in Chicago, Illinois. Space 380 is
handling radio promotion and Triple X Records will handle retail promotion
and marketing. The label is distributed through Navarre in the U.S.
Guide to Extinction was produced by Chris Telkes, Nocturne co-founder,
guitarist and programmer. The album was recorded throughout 2004 at Studio
666 (the band¹s private studio in Dallas, TX). Front woman and co-founder
Lacey Conner enthuses "I am very excited about the new album. It is our
third full-length and I think that it is by far the best Nocturne album to
date. It certainly has the main "Nocturne" ingredients, being dark, heavy
and guitar driven -- with a dash of industrial-style programming."
According to the band's publicist: "The album unfolds as an aggressive metal record with shades of classic Nine Inch Nails industrial stylings. It creates an intense atmosphere and the lyrics both shock and provoke. Nocturne, however, do not use the term 'goth¹
to describe their sound." "I always liked darker songs because they create a
moodbut generally I'm a happy person" Conner smiles. "Dark Music is a
powerful thing and I like the intensity of it" she continues. "But we're
not a Goth band" adds Telkes "we don't go overboard, putting crucifixes up
on stage and wearing lots of make up." "The band draws influences from artists
like The Cure, Nine Inch Nails and Ministry."
Nocturne exploded onto the metal/industrial music scene in 1999 with the
release of Twilight, their debut album (released by Triple X Records - the
Los Angeles based label best known for releasing Jane's Addiction's first
record). Nocturne is essentially Lacey Conner and Chris Telkes, the two
co-founders and main songwriters. Nocturne's live shows, however, have
always been comprised of a variety of different members, which usually
consist of four total performers on stage including Rotny on bass and newest
edition Ben Graves (Murder Dolls-popular side project band of Joey
Jordison from Slipknot) on drums.
Guide to Extinction features Lacey Conner on vocals and guitar, Chris Telkes
on guitar, bass and programming, Gotti on drums. The thirteen tracks on the

Siberian Husky rescued from a shelter and an Hungarian Vizsla are always

This is the Godfather of punk, dressed in drag, in an exceptionally energetic performance for a crazed-crowd in San Francisco. Over the 30 plus years of Iggy Pop's career, one thing has always remained constant, his absolute devotion and dedication to the live show. From the chaos of the early Stooges shows to his recent work with the Trolls (as well as the reformed Stooges), no one can deny that Pop is the epitome of live rock action.
While this DVD may look rough and raw to 21st Century eyes, it is also the best representation of Iggy live during an otherwise pitifully undocumented era of his career. Fronting a crack band featuring Blondie drummer Clem Burke and future David Bowie guitarist Carlos Alomar, Pop is as unpredictable and dominant as ever (no small feat since he is sporting a mini skirt, garters and stockings for most of the show). Filmed on November 25, 1981 near the end of their tour supporting his 1981 album "Party", Iggy and co. are raw and ready for business. Live San Fran 1981 provides a snapshot of a hungry artist at the top of his game in front of an adoring crowd.

Etta James is an artist of genuinely legendary stature. This three-time Grammy award winner, NARAS Lifetime Achievement and W.C. Handy Blues Foundation honoree's career began in the early Fifties when the Los Angeles born singer was first discovered by Johnny Otis while still a teenager. He went on to produce her first hit, "Dance With Me Henry," which immediately topped the R&B charts nationwide. Her tenure with Chess Records began in 1960 and would continue for 16 years with a string of landmark hits including her signature version of "At Last." Etta has continued to make definitive blues, soul and R&B music over the last four decades. Her last album "Blues to the Bone" was released in 2004 and earned her a GRAMMY award this year for Best Traditional Blues Album.
Ike Turner: Considered by many to be one of the founding fathers of Rock 'n' Roll, Turner fused some blues, country and lots of R&B starting with his Sun Records recordings. A 19-year-old Ike Turner and his band "The Kings of Rhythm" sold 500K of their first single "Rocket 88" in 1951. After 50 years of legendary recordings and touring, Turner recently released what many feel is the best album of his career, "Here and Now," which was nominated for a Grammy. Turner will bring "Memphis To London" for a three week tour in April.
Muddy Waters: McKinley Morganfield was born on April 4th, 1915, this would be his 90th birthday (passed away on April 30, 1983.) From the start it was he who dominated the music and led the way in style sound, repertoire and instrumentations. Beginning as a greatly popular club performer from the mid-1940s on, he later as the most influential recording artist in the new amplified blues idiom. In the years 1948-55, he put forth for definition the fundamental approaches and usages of modern blues in a remarkable series of ground-breaking and classic records. In the years since, the style Waters delineated has been extended, fragmented, elaborated and otherwise commercialized, but the fundamental earthy, vital, powerful sound of the postwar blues as defined by Muddy and his bandsmen has yet to be excelled or equaled. It is no accident The Rolling Stones chose their name from one of Waters' finest early recordings.
Hollywood's RockWalk is the only sidewalk gallery dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and R&B. Liquor and Poker Music Hits The Jackpot at South By Southwest: Backyard Babies, Black Halos and others make last Saturday night special
LOS ANGELES-Liquor and Poker Music's inaugural South By Southwest showcase saw groups from such exotic locales as Sweden, Canada and Michigan converge at Emo's in Austin, Texas on March 19 for a six-hour, six-band event that couldn't even be stopped by the bartender's futile cries of "last call."
Sweden's Backyard Babies, who just finished a two-month tour with Social Distortion last night, headlined the event. Supporting their new release Tinnitus - which features four songs from each of the band's first three albums (two of which were never released domestically) - the group performed such crowd favorites as "Minus Celsius," "Brand New Hate" and "Star War." 2005 has seen the quartet re-introduce themselves to American audiences in a major way, and expect additional high-profile U.S. touring throughout the rest of the year.
Although their new album, Alive Without Control, won't be out until June, that didn't stop Vancouver's The Black Halos from performing a handful of new tunes, nor did it stop the crowd from loving every moment. South By Southwest was the official kickoff for their two-month tour alongside Sweden's The Bones, who flew in from Boston (where they'd played a sold-out St. Patrick's Day show with Dropkick Murphys) to perform in Austin and prove that tracks from their acclaimed new CD Straight Flush Ghetto sound even more infectious live.
Preceding The Bones were two Toronto bands, Crash Kelly and The Illuminati. Crash Kelly made a triumphant return to the States, performing songs off their new album Penny Pills, while The Illuminati - the night's "special guests" - dished out a heaping portion of Southern-fried boogie rock. Kicking off the party, meanwhile, were Michigan's Dirty Americans, whose new album, Strange Generation, streets this week. Tracks such as "Burn You Down," "Car Crash" and the title track - the video for which will be premiering soon - set a balls-out, in-your-face tone for the rest of the evening.
DROPKICK MURPHYS will kick off 2005 with the release of rare tracks and b-sides on The Singles Collection, Volume 2: 1998-2004. In stores March 8, The Singles Collection is a chronicle of the band’s unique anthemic rock sound, mixing Celtic folk and aggressive street punk.
Also ahead for DROPKICK MURPHYS in 2005 is a new studio album to follow up their 2003 release Blackout. Their fifth album, as yet untitled, is set for release in June 2005.

Leatherface, the good old-fashioned English punk band from Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, features the eerie yet gutturally powerful vocals of frontman Frankie Stubbs. Monster Dog (1984), directed by Clyde Anderson, stars Alice Cooper as Vince Roberts - known to the world as "Vince Raven," the rock icon. He's returning to his family home after years on the road becoming famous because he can't seem to get a music video made that he likes. Taking matters into his own hands, he decides to film at his mansion.
Vince assembles a video crew for the shoot, but he hasn't been back to the mansion in 20 years and has no idea what to expect. When he returns, he learns that "Old Joss" the caretaker is missing and a pack of wild dogs are on the loose. Soon after, a bloody man appears to warn the crew of the real supernatural danger at hand.

The Thieves are poised to steal your soul and much more when they embark on their first American tour with Japan’s Electric Eel Shock in February. The Thieves came rolling off a bar stool and straight into a barn hidden away in their beloved hometown of Oxford, England sometime in 1999. Armed with every record from A to Z (that’s AC/DC to Zeppelin), they spent 300 days in that barn writing and rehearsing proper rock tunes "designed to blow a hole right through the banal and corporate pop world of Nu-Metal and Britney." Between 1999 and 2000 the band rehearsed, recorded and toured the UK relentlessly, building up a large and dedicated following throughout Southern England. They became one of Oxford’s top bands - second only to local hero’s Supergrass and Radiohead.. Because of the instant attention the band gained, they knew it was time to up the ante with something new and exciting. In 2002 the band moved to Los Angeles to draw on the sleaze that the city of angels offers and capture the spirit of a city that could influence their tunes. Los Angeles proved to be a move in the right direction for the band. Southern California rock fans instantly fell in love with the sound of the band and their always-unpredictable live shows. The band’s latest EP, Tales From The Whiteline, will be available for purchase on the Liquor and Poker Music website shortly or pick one up when you see the band play your town.

Oaks, PA - Music Video Distributors and Euroralph are pleased to announce the home viewing release of The Residents -Icky Flicks for US and Mexican distribution on DVD.
Near the end of the last so-called "millennium," someone suggested that The Residents release a DVD compilation of their many award winning music videos. The anonymous group's response was swift and unanimous: "YUKKKK!!! HOW ICKY!" More specifically, Mr. Skull - sometimes known as the Black Hole of the group - replied, "I'd rather eat dog doo and die!" It seems that the group saw the idea of creating a collection of their visual work, some of it almost 30 years old, as a task more fitting to bean counters than semi-famous artistes.
But then Mr. Blue, a less volatile type, remarked, "But with a DVD we could record all the music again and let people have a choice of which soundtrack to play." "Hmmm....," replied the contrary Skull. "That would completely enrage our fans, giving them absolutely nothing to complain about. Let's do it!" So they did. And in the process, The Residents, with the help of their friends, crammed the disc full of newly created material: 4 never-before-seen music videos, video versions of their CD-Roms and a newly restored edit of Vileness Fats, their first-ever video "experiment" - and that's in addition to recording new music for the 100 minute long disc. As usual, The Residents have created a great version of an icky idea.

Boston street punks The Unseen have just signed with Hellcat Records and will release their new full length studio album produced by Dropkick Murphys Ken Casey early this summer. Their Hellcat debut comes on the heels of their 2003 release Explode (BYO), The Unseen’s most proverbial album to date.
Formed in the mid-90s, and influenced by artists such as The Misfits, The Clash, The Cult, Bad Religion, Sick of it All, and G.B.H., The Unseen, winner of Best Punk Band at the 2004 Boston Music Awards, is one of the most recognized acts currently recording and performing. Their catalogue includes four full length albums, countless splits and EPs, and appearances on over 25 punk compilations including Hellcat’s Give ‘Em The Boot 4 (November 9), Rock Against Bush Volume 2, and the Warped ’04 Comp.
In 2004 alone, The Unseen did two full headlining tours across the United States. On top of that, they supported Sick of It All, Suicide Machines, Avenged Sevenfold, Agnostic Front, and Hatebreed for a whopping 193 gigs in 2004. In the past few years, The Unseen have also performed in Japan, toured twice in Europe, and played alongside punk heavyweights The Casualties, Anti-Flag, Dropkick Murphys, and AFI. Most recently the band performed at Hellcat’s Give ‘Em The Boot 4 Boston release party with Westbound Train, The Ducky Boys, and Capitol Radio.
Outside of touring, The Unseen saw success with their music video “False Hope.” Off of their 2003 release Explode, “False Hope” won Fuse TV’s “Oven Fresh” countdown, beating out G-Unit and Incubus, and also received substantial rotation on “Headbanger’s Ball.” In addition to television time, “False Hope” received airplay on many major radio stations, and was added to regular rotation at WFNX, Boston.
Writing of their previous album, Explode (BYO), Askew Reviews Emily Zemler said, “…it is easy to appreciate The Unseen’s music as no-frills punk that is a rare find in today’s pop-drenched society,” and Decoymusic’s Timothy Golden describes their sound as “extremely blaspheming and in-your-face political.”
On December 5th, The Unseen headed into the studio with Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey to begin recording their fifth full length album. In addition, The Unseen will be on tour beginning February 1st, co-headlining for two weeks with Strike Anywhere, and then a headlining tour for a month with Ramallah and Brain Failure supporting.

STATUE IN MEMORY OF PUNK LEGEND JOHNNY RAMONE UNVEILED ON JANUARY 14 AT HOLLYWOOD FOREVER CEMETERY IN LOS ANGELES
LOS ANGELES - A statute in memory of legendary punk guitarist Johnny Ramone was unveiled by his wife, Linda Ramone in a public ceremony on Jan. 14 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. The monument is located not far from where bandmate Dee Dee Ramone is buried. During the ceremony, there were speeches by some of Johnny's closest friends, thus keeping with the spirit of Johnny's own words written in the stone: "If a man can judge success by how many great friends he has, then I have been very successful. - Johnny Ramone"
The bronze statue, created by artist Wayne Toth (a friend and colleague of Rob Zombie,) captures Johnny in his most memorable image-playing his Mosrite guitar. Johnny Ramone, co-founder and guitarist of seminal 70's punk rock band The Ramones, died on Sept. 15, 2004 at his home in Los Angeles.
Johnny Ramone co-founded The Ramones in 1974 along with fellow bandmates Joey Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone and Tommy Ramone; the only surviving member of the original band. The band, which gained critical acclaim and a huge following in New York's underground music scene at the time performing at clubs such as CBGB's, is widely credited for bringing the "punk rock" genre to the forefront. The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
